Directions to The Lawrence County Conservation District

From I-79:
Take I-79 North/South to Exit 29 (Rt. 422 New Castle/Butler). Turn left (going west) onto Rt. 422.
Once you go straight through the intersection of Sheetz (still on 422) and follow the sign for New Castle, go through 3 traffic signals. At the 4^th traffic signal, turn right onto East Washington Street (Sunoco mini-mart to your right and a large, stone church to your left). Follow East Washington Street down the hill. Toward the bottom of the hill (look up to your right and notice the new clocktower on the roof of the courthouse), turn right onto Court Street (you should see the courthouse and lots of flags). The courthouse sits on a hill to your right; on the corner of East Washington and Court Streets. Go up the hill and around to the back of the courthouse to the parking areas. Park wherever there is parking available.Once you go through the main entrance and security area, go right down the hallway past the Sheriff’s Office and bear right at the Assessors Office. Once you go through the walkway leading to the old part of the courthouse, turn left before the doors leading to stairways and there will be an elevator to your left. Take the elevator to the third floor to the Conservation District and Cooperative Extension offices.
