The Lawrence County Conservation District has established a Mini Grant program to distribute funds provided to the County by Norfolk Southern Railway as a result of the East Palestine train derailment. Residents and businesses in the following municipalities (North Beaver, Little Beaver, and Taylor Townships, and New Beaver, Enon Valley, Wampum, SNPJ, and Bessemer Boroughs) may submit applications beginning on October 1, 2023. The grant will open to residents and businesses of all other municipalities on December 1, 2023.
